Our New Baby

I was back, then gone...and back again!
I went to Illinois for another week and the weather was actually really nice.
It was great going back up and learning so much more,
but I am so happy to be home.
This time I am at least home for a month and a half until I have to go for one more week...then the training is all over.
 Some highlights to this trip:
Fire Alarm went off in hotel...everyone out, firemen in!
All ok, fire in the ballroom...taken care of.
By Wednesday I was ready to cry my eyes out and go home!
Took a deep breath, one of my friends helped me through my breakdown...
along with my husband and by the end of the week I did rather well.
I go back for the last time in a couple of weeks.
Can't wait for it to be over, but so glad to have gone through it.

I now have a big surprise for you.
On March 18th, I was asked by my husband to pick something up for him.
I drove over an hour away and waited and waited.
Finally, this little puppy was introduced and given to me to bring home as our new addition to the family.
We have named her Marley, as in Bob Marley...but she is a girl.

She doesn't mind the camera as you can see.

And is only as big as a remote...and will not get much bigger.
She is a Min Pin and is now 5 and a half pounds.
She is completely adorable and has won my husband's heart.
She sleeps with him under his neck and the are so sweet together.
Supposedly she will only be getting to 8 - 10 pounds in total.
She is very smart, already within the month that we have her, she knows how to sit, give her paw, high five and most of the time she rings the bell to go out.
So she definitely has potential!

We have three fur babies now...
Amber:

She is a mix of Chow and we think Shepherd.
She is approximately 100 pounds and is now 12 years old.

Then we have Bella:

She is a mix of Rottie and something...
not sure what since she is only 45 pounds so she is definitely not full Rottie.
And she is turning 3 in a couple of days.

Now we have Marley:
And since she is a tough girl, she thinks she can play with the big dogs already.
Amber she just likes laying with and giving kisses...I think she thinks of her as more of a mommy.
Bella she plays with as a sister, and Bella is so sweet with her.

Well, last week (April 12th), she was outside with Bella while we were installing a new microwave since our old one died and all of a sudden I heard screaming like you would not believe.
I ran out and Marley was holding her leg up and crying.
I picked her up and tried to calm her down.
I didn't see any blood, and it didn't look like there was anything broken.
I even played with the whole leg and foot and could not see what was wrong,
so I just babied her all night.
The next day, hubby brought her to the doctor...she just wasn't right and yelping but we couldn't figure out what it was.
Well...she broke her leg!!!
Here she is with her first cast.
The girls in the Vet even put a bow on it.
She was tired that night, but she is back to messing with her sister.
So she is doing rather well and I am amazed at how great
she has adapted to her cast.
It will be on for 6-8 weeks and hope that the bone will
meld back together on its own.

So she is already a handful and that's about how big she is!!!

I was able to do an Easter manicure...I know a bit late.

Here are the colors I used:

Here's the manicure.  I painted each nail a different pastel color,
then painted a bunny with acrylic paint on my ring finger.
Of course I added a bunny tail!

Hope you enjoyed your visit and come back again.
Take care!
