Christmas Vinyl

Welcome!!!

This week I am bringing you some items that I created for my office for the holidays.

I am still loving the Silhouette and still learning as well.

I purchased a wooden sign blank at Hobby Lobby,
brought it home and sanded it to make it smooth.
I then cut the Santa skyline out of
black and red vinyl with my Silhouette.
I then placed onto the wooden sign and added some
resin snowflakes to the sides.
I love the way it came out and it was so easy to do.

It looked lovely on my door during the Christmas season.

Next I purchased a glass block at Hobby Lobby
I cut the saying and lights on my Silhouette machine.
I put some snow confetti and bells inside and
added some snowflakes and ornament on top of the glass block
for the final touch.
Oh...I also added some lights inside as well.

Again, this was so much fun to make and it was great to
display on my desk corner during the holiday season.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and would love to hear what you think in the comments below!!!

Candles and Notepads

Welcome!!!

This week I have some more inexpensive items that I made at Christmas time for various co-workers.

First I made some boxes..which is rather easy.
And I used paper...yes, that I already had from last year.

Then I embellished the outside with bows that I made out of gold foil paper and crystals.
I also had the santa faces done from last year.
Sometimes I make too many of something,
but keep them for future use.
I wrapped the top with some ribbon and there you go.
Box done!

These candle holders I bought at...
you guessed it...Dollar Tree.
I added some ribbon and gingerbread people
that I purchased from AliExpress.

I added some tealight candles to them and in the box they went with some crinkle paper.

I thought they were rather nifty.
I'd love to know what you think, comment below!

Next, I took this idea from The Posh Paper Lady and her video...
Notepads

So just like she did...
I purchased some writing tablets from Dollar Tree.

Cut them up a bit...

And here are the results...beautiful notepads.
I also did add some elastic to the sides to hold a Holiday Pencil.
(That idea was from my creative husband!)

These are so simple to make and I am definitely going to keep these in mind for holidays throughout the year.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and would love to hear what you think, comment below.

Wonderful Life

Welcome!!!

This week I have another craft that started at the Dollar Tree.
Yes...
I spent a lot of time at the Dollar Tree this holiday season.
It is amazing that some of the items that you find there...
if you work them a different way,
you can find the full potential of the item
that wasn't there at first.

Take this shadow box frame with writing on it already.
For a dollar...not bad, but I am not a big red person myself and it was rather bland to me this way.
But I thought maybe...just maybe I can do something with it.
And what is the worst that can happen if it doesn't turn out...
You are not out a bunch of money because of it.

So I took this frame home and scraped off the writing
with a razor and cleaned it up.

I then, painted the frame with a blue metallic and then when dry, painted a thick glitter paint on top.
I also put blue cardstock on the back piece.
(All already in stash)
I then used my new Silhouette machine,
(have I told you I am in love with it since I received it???)
And using Silver and white vinyl,
cut out the saying and snowflakes.
I filled it with various size bells and a put a few on the outside as well.
I also added some stars, ribbon and metal corners.
(Again, all in my stash)
And Voila...

I think it came out adorable...
and the saying...perfect in our home.
Our favorite holiday movie.
I also have to say...
I know I am blessed in my life and it truly is...
a Wonderful Life.

Remember to try and look at items you see either at the Dollar store or Thrift stores that catch your eye, but may need a bit of help to be the best they can be!

Thank you so much for visiting and hope you enjoyed your stay!

Holiday Cutting Boards

Welcome!!!

Last week I showed my Fall/Thanksgiving
Cutting board I created.
This week I am sharing two cutting boards
I made for Christmas.

This first one I used ribbon, a pick, and various items that I already had in my stash.
I think these are the crafts I love most...
using items that I had on hand that I knew
I could use for something...
but didn't know what at the time of purchase.

Here's a close up of the top with pick and ribbons.

Here's the bottom...snowflakes and all.

Dollar Tree not only has white cutting boards,
but they also have red...
and what more of a perfect color for Christmas than that...
except blue (I'm rather partial to blue! LOL!)

So on this one, I did purchase some items,
but others were in my stash as well.
The cute pick up with tree ornament and Merry Christmas ornament were new purchases at Dollar Tree,
but all the rest I had on hand.

Here's the top...

Here's the bottom...

These were so fun and easy to make for the holidays,
and brighten up any room with a little bit of Christmas.

Hope you had a lovely holiday and glad you came by to visit.
