July Nail Polish Haul

Hello and Welcome!!!

So I held all of the nail polishes I purchased since the end of June
so I can show you them all at one time.

These are ones I purchased on clearance at Walgreen's.
I love when they have polish on clearance...
it's usually items I wanted,
but wouldn't pay full price.

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine - Copperhead
Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat - Peach Fuzz
Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Blow Bubbles
Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Drama Sheen

This set I found at Beall's Outlet.
Yes, I go there for something totally different and always find polish!

L.A. Colors - Black, Light Sparkle, Foil, Heavy Sparkle and Studs

So these Pure Ice polishes were purchased at Wal-Mart when I went to get hubby some things while he was in the hospital.
I actually bought 4, but while going bananas driving
back and forth to the hospital,
I forgot them in the car for a few days and
must have knocked something into them.
All of a sudden I smelled a bad nail polish odor in my car.
Low and behold...the fourth bottle broke and went everywhere...
thank goodness all in the bag and not in the car!
You can see the color on the 'tealish' color nail polish...
it was a deep orange.

Pure Ice:
??? (label gone due to spillage!)
HoneyDew
Dollface

Revlon - Holographic Pearls
Yes, there are specks of the orange polish on this one too! LOL!!!

These are part of the Chalk Board Diaries Collection
Sinful Colors:
 Truth or Lavendare
A-Crush
Chalk it up
V.I.Peach

These are part of the Neon Collection
Sinful Colors:
The Bright Thing
Rays of Bright
Vivid A Try
Bright To The Point
Neon and On

Sally Hansen Color Foil:
Leaden Lilac
Yellow Gold

Sally Hansen Velvet Texture - Deluxe
I soooo thought that the color would come out as blue as in the bottle.
Instead, here is a mani with this polish.

It was dark as black.
But, what I did like was the texture.
It really does feel like velvet.
So I may have to see about a different color.
That's my fault for always going for BLUE!!!

These were purchased during the buy 3 get 3 free (and free shipping) sale.
I made sure not to purchase any BLUES!!!
Zoya:
Sparkle Gloss
Dove
Veruschka
Kitridge
Lux
Emilia

If there are any of these that you would like me to swatch,
I would be more than happy to.
I did do this mani with Kitridge this week.

I do have to say, I am not crazy about the formula on this one.
Very thin and streaky for me.
But I do love the color, very bright and summery.

Take care and thanks for visiting!

Sunset Ombre

Hello!!!

So this week I tried my hand at another nail art creation.
I followed the way others did it and also crossed my fingers! LOL!!!

Here it is...

It's a Neon Ombre.
The colors are Color Club and I do not know their names,
but you can do it with any Neon Yellow, Orange and Pink.
Do not pay attention to the pointer that has gotten a tooth mark in it.
Not sure where that came from...Marley...LOL!!!

I think it looks like a Florida Sunset.
I painted my nails with a white base coat first,
then with a makeup sponge, I added the colors right next to each other
then dabbed them on my nail.
I added the colors onto the sponge each time I did a nail,
and did each nail with the sponge twice.
I then added top coat and there you go!

I have to admit, I really am in love with the results
and will definitely be doing this again.
Imagine all of the color blending possibilities.
Ok, I may be late on the Ombre bandwagon,
but better late than never I always say!!!

I also got some crafting in this weekend too!!!

I think this stamp set is adorable.

This one I did in Prismacolor Pencils and added some glossy accents.

This one I did with Copic Markers.
I think I like the one in pencils better.
I don't know if it's just because I don't have many markers so I don't blend as well with them, or if it is user error!
Either way...I do love the stamps...especially the cute bear!
And yes, I even did some masking again!

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and
hopefully I will have more to share next week.

Take care!

A Fourth to Remember

So I tried to have things scheduled...
I tried to keep up...
but life got in the way!!!

So I have decided, AGAIN, to just try and blog.
No pressure, no driving myself nuts.
Then it seems to be done fine.

Anyway...
June came and went and I was able to post a bunch.
But then July decided to rear its ugly head and give me a knockout punch!
For the Fourth of July weekend, my sweet hubby had a diverticulitis attack and he had to go into the hospital and stay from Friday night to Monday afternoon.
Then when he came home he had a BAD reaction to the antibiotics they prescribed him.  So it was not a good first couple of weeks of July.
He is better now, and life has gone back to (kinda) normal!

I was able to have a nail art FAIL before the hospital episode.

Isn't that a beauty...NOT!!!
One of my biggest problems is not waiting for things to dry.
So this manicure lasted about 30 seconds!
I did do my nails over and just did the pointer...
Sinful Colors Endless Blue with the Stars and Stripes Glitter over top.

So after the wackiness...I was able to finally have a weekend of crafting.
I wanted to play with the Carnival Cupcakes stamp set from Mama Elephant,
which I think is ADORABLE!!!

I even made masks of the animals, and had fun.

I used my copic markers and had a ball coloring them in.

This one I used a card sketch for the layout.

I used a card sketch for this one as well.

This one is a card in a box.
I used acetate and paper to have the items be lifted.
I used a Recollections Birthday stamp set with this as well.

Speaking of crafting...I actually have a WONDERFUL story.
I purchased a Fiskars SureCut Deluxe Paper Trimmer at least 10 years ago.
I have been loving it ever since.
But recently the wire that is part of the trimmer has gotten totally messed up.
To the point where when I use the trimmer to cut my paper,
the paper gets jammed in it.
I have heard that if you get with Fiskars, they will at least send you the replacement piece to fix your trimmer.
So I decided to try it.  I contacted them by e-mail and sent a picture of my trimmer as well.  I figured I would get an e-mail back, but hadn't heard anything.  But it also had only been a couple of days...then this Saturday,
hubby went to the door and when coming in to me asked what I ordered.
I hadn't ordered anything...I had no clue what it was.
When I opened it, it was a brand new trimmer!
I could not believe it!
They so did not have to do that.
All I was hoping for was a replacement piece to fix what I have.
I am still in shock!
I can't believe that a company as big as Fiskars has such customer service.
In this day and age where the customer no longer means anything,
it made me feel as if I do mean something to this company.
Which in turn will make me purchase all my cutting supplies from them and scream their company's name from the mountain tops!!!

Thank you Fiskars, Thank you!

Take care everyone and thank you for visiting!!!
