Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter and China Glaze Gleam Me Up Crackle

Hello Again!
I bought some Finger Paints last month when Sally Beauty was having a buy 2 get one free sale.
You also received a mini-tote...which is adorable, but I have no clue what I can use it for.
But since it was for free...I'll take it! LOL!!

This color is Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter
I do love my blues.

This is two coats with top coat.

I rather like it...how can I not when it is blue?

I then decided to top it off with China Glaze Gleam it Up Crackle.
Again...it's blue, how can I go wrong?

It kind of melded in with the Tiffany Imposter base, but was nice and subtle.

What do you think...do you like this combination?

Take care!

Finger Paints Don't Make a Scene

Hello All!
Finally I can get to some swatches I have done.
This color is Finger Paints Don't Make A Scene.

This is two coats and top coat.
Even though it is close to my skin color, it didn't get lost.
I rather like it.  Especially with my shorter nails right now.

Can't wait til they grow out more...but til then I have some more swatches coming up.

Take care!

The Birth of a Plaster Christmas Village Home

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
Art is knowing which ones to keep.  ~ Scott Adams

So as I have said before, this blog of mine is for everything that I find creative to me.  Whether it be musically, by crafting or by nail art.  These are various things that I am interested in, so that's why they will all be included here.  I hope that doesn't confuse visitors to my blog, but I do hope that you understand that all creativity is art, so it belongs together...for me.

In saying this...I have been blogging lately of my nail art escapades...but this blog will be a start of the Plaster Christmas houses that I do each year.  Or at least try to do each year.
As I have stated in a past blog, I have been on a 'Crafting Creative Block', but I have been having fun creating with my nails.
But I did decide to get out the Plaster Christmas Houses and at least start painting to get the 'crafty juices' flowing. LOL!!!

The way I paint my houses is in steps...First step for me though is to get it ready to paint.

See how the windows and doors are rough?
I take my exacto knife and fix these by scraping all of the sides...
then take a brush and get all of the dust brushed away so I can start painting.

See...much better!

Now onto the painting...
I start with painting the biggest pieces.

Now on to the next color...

Now I start to get into more of the details

Well...I hope you don't mind the break from my nails to some of my crafts.
To be continued...
Take care!

My Broken Nail - May Edition

Sad News...again!
I broke my nails again, so I cut them all the way down now.
Time to start all over!
Oh well.  I usually do this anyway every once in a while and my nails get stronger each time.
So, though I shouldn't complain, I will because I was liking them nice and long...
and I went and bought a bunch of new nail polishes that I will have to use on my stubbies! LOL!!!
Here's the break! ACK!  Used my camera phone for this picture...sorry for the darkness.

Here are my stubbies!!!

I know...again...they are not that short,
but it does get heartbreaking when they were getting so nice and long.
Oh well...they will be back to being long before I know it.

Take care!

WNW Blue Wants To Be A Millionaire & SC Opal Glitter Butterfly Manicure

Hello All!
For this manicure, I really wanted to do some stamping.
Just so you know, even though I rubber stamp cards and have for years,
I am very intimidated by stamping my nails.
It is such a small area and I am just not used to it yet.
But practice does make perfect, so I will have to keep on trying!
Anyway...I did get a good stamp of a butterfly on my ring finger, so I took it from there! LOL!!!

Stamped with BornPrettyStore Black Stamping Nail Polish.

I got a bit adventurous and decided to take out some rhinestones for the butterfly.
I added them in to where the wings are, then put Wet N Wild's Blue Wants to be a Millionaire on a sponge and sponged the tips with two coats.

I wanted to add even more glitter, so I took out Sinful Colors Opal Glitter and just brushed it on the tips.

Next, I drilled a mini-hole in my pinky nail and added a dangle charm that I also purchased from BornPrettyStore.

.

So that's the manicure I wore last week...even though the colors were rather subdued, for me, I liked it.  Especially being blue and all! LOL!!!

Any tips you have for me, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks for visiting, take care!

Rainbow Splatter Manicure

So this weekend I have time to play and decided to ATTEMPT a Rainbow Splatter Manicure.
Here are the colors I chose to use:

That's Snow Me White (Sinful Colors), Sun Worshiper (China Glaze), Fusion Neon (Sinful Colors), Blue Sparrow (China Glaze), Beach Green (Kiss Nail Art), and #2 Black Nail Art by Biora.

I did a base coat with Snow Me White, then went to town on the other colors all over my nails and ATTEMPTED to make paint splatters.

I then took the Black Nail Art polish and added some dots.

Hubby thought it was rather fun...but there was no way I would be able to do my right hand...so this manicure was ended short! LOL!!!

How do you like?  Let me know.

Now on to the next manicure.
Take care.

Wet N Wild Summer Getaway

What a surprise I got when I visited my local Walgreen's.
I was looking for the new holo's that everyone was talking about lately...
but, unfortunately, did not see any of those.
Instead I saw this little beauty!
The Wet N Wild Summer Getaway Kit.
It has 6 mini bottles of their fast-dry line, which I only have a couple of...and none of these colors.
So it was a no-brainer!  Especially being $3.99!

Isn't it cute?
The colors included are L-R:
9-0-2-1-Orange, The Wonder Yellows, Sage in the City, FuschiaRama, How I met Your Magenta, and
Buffy the Violet Slayer.

Also, the individual Wet N Wild colors were on sale for .69 cents and
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear are 2 for $4.00.

Now how could I pass up this sale?

I purchased another Black Creme (can never have enough black!), Kaleidoscope (a small holographic glitter in clear polish), Sparked (a small pink glitter in clear polish) and two Clear Top Coats (can never have enough Clear!)

I also purchased two Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes.
Golden-I and Grey Area.
These two I swatched for you.

Golden-I has great coverage with two coats.
A nice, light gold which I was missing from my nail polish collection.
Yes, I brought my nail wheels and knew that I needed gold! LOL!!!

Grey Area is a dark gray.  Great coverage as well with two coats.

Golden-I in the sunlight

Golden-I with just flash indoors

Grey Area in the sunlight

Grey Are with flash indoors

Hope you enjoy...take care!!!

Nabi Magnetic Nail Polish

Another trip to Walgreen's and another surprise!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that there were Magnetic Polishes on display.
So of course I had to grab a couple. At $3.99 each it was not a problem!
There are no color names...UGH!
And the numbers on them are the same for each color, so no way to distinguish!
So I will just call them, Goldish, Bluish and Pinkish! LOL!!!

Here are the tops of the polishes...the magnets.

Now to see how they work!!!

Take care!!!
