Yes...I was finally able to figure out having my domain name direct to my blog! Whew! I started up my website about 13 years ago and it was founded on web graphics that I used to do. Then I started getting back into my crafting and web graphics and design fell by the waist-side. So I totally neglected my website and I truly felt bad. Especially when I kicked it to the curb for my blog. I knew that I needed to just meld the two together, but every time I tried, I failed miserably. Well...this weekend, I decided I was going to do it. And I did! Now I just have to try and actually post on here more often. That might be more of a stretch. LOL!!!
I have included on my blog: crafting, nail art and day to day life. I hope you don't mind the mish-mosh of ideas, but that is how my brain goes...so take the ride with me.
I was able to craft up a frame that I picked up a couple of weeks ago at Michaels for $4 and decided to make it a tribute to past and present puppies that have entered my life. I did buy another one since life will have more puppies in store for me in the future and I would hate to neglect them!
So the frame is from Recollections and what's funny about this frame is that Michael's had them in the clearance aisle for $4, as I stated already, and I believe it's just because it is brown wood...because in the regular aisles they have the black painted ones for $15! Unbelievable!
Here it is unpainted...and $4.00:
So I took my black acrylic paint and here she is...and NOT $15.00!!!
I love when things like that happen!
So then I started to add the pictures of my fur-babies and a beautiful saying that I absolutely love:
The saying says:
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them,
and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog,
and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

Then on with the embellishing...
Some glitter letters, pearl trim, metal flowers, wooden letters and paw-print ribbon.
I also covered each photo and the saying with acetate so that they won't get dusty over time.
Close up of the pearl trim and metal roses.
Here's a close up of the little angel charms that I made and added with eye hooks
so they will dangle when I hang this on the wall.
Here is the finished frame. I love the way it turned out.
Let me know how you feel it came out...would you have done something different?
So carrying on with the puppy theme...I decided to also do my nails for the occasion.
The base color is Lonesome Dove by Confetti.
I added some paw prints and a bone with regular acrylic paints and a wooden skewer.
This is my left hand.
Here is my right hand with just two paw prints.
I am so surprised that I was able to do my right hand this well...usually its a disaster!
So...how do you like my puppy themed weekend?
Would love for you to let me know...comment below!
Hope you enjoyed! Take care!
i've said it a million times but you are so talented, Celeste! i love it.
