Come to my window

This week I played with a die that I have in my stash
that has five windows.

I purchased a new stamp set of woodland characters,
stamped them all up and colored them all in.
I knew I had more than for one card...so I made two!

I also used a die cut of trees...
I knew it would come in handy.

On this one I also put some confetti sequins.

This next one I did with glitter, made all the windows shakers
and decided to use the viking stamp set
I colored in a while back.

These were a lot of fun to create and I see me using this die more.
Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello Again...and Happy Mothers Day!!!

Here are some cards I have made in May.
I love keeping photos of my cards since most of them
are given to either Family or Friends.

This one was so much fun to make.
My die-cut collection is growing so I had the grass, trees and leaves from various ones I have purchased.
I thought this stamp set was adorable.
I love the little tourists with their camera and binoculars.

I even colored enough images to be able to put one inside!

This next card is using a stamp set I have used before,
but I just love the sentiment I used from another stamp set.

Yes, I had an image for the inside for this one too.

These little fairies are just too cute and with someone's
birthday coming up, I thought they would love it.

Yes, I used one of the flowers for the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
These cards were so much fun to make and I love sharing them.

Down on the Farm

I am still creating and having a ball!!!

The following cards were created in April.
And actually, most of them were made with items that I had
stamped a while ago, and finally put together on a card.

This farm scene, I had the animals made already.
I purchased the background die-cuts and knew it would be perfect together.

I had already colored in the girl,
but the NYC skyline die cut was just purchased and again...
I knew they would be perfect together.

This one I purchased the tree die cut and put it together
with the cute monkeys.
I think I need to go a bit lighter on the monkeys faces.

I had the little fairies made,
but remembered I had this star galaxy background
and thought it would go together.
And I think it does.

See...never throw out those extra stamped items,
you may be able to use them on a new card.

I hope you enjoyed these creations...

Some April Kard Kreations

Here are some cards I created in April.

This card I used a new cloud stencil with oxide ink for the background with blending brushes.
A New York Skyline Die Cut is also silhouetted in the background in black.
The grandma superhero stamp is adorable and colored in alcohol markers.
I fussy-cut her and added foam tape to the back to lift her up.

The next birthday card was so much fun to make.
I die cut a lot of the parts and added brads to the record
and the tonearm so that they can move
as would a real record player.

The stamp set for this next card I think is just adorable.
These birds look like they are ready to party!
I colored them all in with alcohol markers
and the background was done in oxide inks.
I also die cut a border for around the scene
and some grass for the background.

I had so many birds, I put one inside the card as well.

Until next time...

Back to Nature

Yes, another album!
This one is a bit more involved,
not as simple as the last couple I have posted on.

I actually got the idea to make this album
from an album I purchased a long time ago.
The album I bought though, had rings and cardboard pages.
I made a spine for paper pages instead.

Here's the front of the album.
The flap comes around to get tied with some twine.

Here it is opened.
I made 5 pages and each has a gate-fold on the front
and a big tag in the back in a pocket.
This album is 8 1/2" x 11...so its rather big to put photos in.

Here's one of the front page gate folds opened.

Here's a picture of the back of the page with the pocket.

I hope the person I made this for likes it.
I thought of all the nature pictures they take around their house, so I figured they may enjoy an album to put them in.

Be Positive

This week I wanted to create an album with a new paper pad that I purchased from Michael's.
I thought it was so positive and bubbly when I saw it,
I had to purchase it...
and it was a Hot Buy so it was a great price point.

I stuck with a simple layout,
but did create a new page for the front of the book...
I"ll show you.

This is the cover.
I do love all of the positive sayings that it has in this pad and had to sprinkle them throughout the album.

This is the inside.
I told you, the positive sayings are awesome.

So this is more of the front cover.
What I did was use magnets and made an accordion of pages
on the front cover.
It came out well.

This is the back cover.

See, nice and simple again.
Baby steps for me to get back in the swing
of making something a bit more elaborate.

I made this album for someone that is so positive and happy to everyone and I hope they know how they put a smile on everyone's face.

A Little Wine

After last week's fail,
I wanted to do an easier album to get me back on track.
Does that happen to you???
you totally fail at a creation so your mood goes straight down and you beat yourself up so much that you don't even feel like creating?
Well, that happened to me, but I decided to at least do an easy album to get me up and running again.

It's a cute little 4" x 6" tri-fold album that I created with some papers I purchased a long time ago.

The closure was made with black glittered elastic trim I purchased from Hobby Lobby and a Pearl cabochon that I have no idea where it's from.

Here's the front cover and right cover.

Here it is open all the way.

The pages have flaps for more photos.

The backs of each page have flaps
that go the opposite way for photos.

So for a simple album, I think it turned out rather well.
It also got me out of my slump, so I appreciate this album!

Maybe now I will be on a roll and create some good things.

This album I made for someone that loves wine...or used to.
I hope they enjoy this.
