Halloween Goodies

Welcome!
I am here to share some Halloween Goodies
that I made this year.
I have been quiet on my blog, but not in the studio!!!

On these pieces of ephemera I added the cutest spiders and bats that I got online.
The rest of the materials were in my stash.

Aren't they cute?

Here are all the various ephemera I made.

I then added them to these gable boxes I got at Hobby Lobby last year and knew I would use them for something.
The big spiders were rings I purchased at the Dollar Tree.

The foam stickers I had from last year as well.
It's great to know that I will eventually
use the items I stash away.

I hope you had a Happy Halloween and see you soon!!!

Summer is Over

Hello and Welcome!!!

I know I have not been around,
but I decided to take the summer off
and fix up the outside of the house a bit.
After Hurricane Irma, we had some roof damage...
so we had to put a new roof on.
After that, hubby had the awesome idea of
painting the outside of the house
and a bunch of other things...
So we had, we really he had a busy summer.
I did help when I could, but hubby did most of it.
I will share the before and after once it is all done.
It almost is, but there are a few little things we still need to finish.
I just had to let you know I am still around,
and what took me away all summer.

I have also changed the look of the blog...
hope you noticed!!!
I was informed that it was hard to add a comment,
and that was one thing that I ask everyone to do if they can.
So I tried to rework it a bit and hope it is easier now.
Please let me know...
this blog is always going to be a work in progress!!!

Now on to one of my favorite seasons...FALL.
Not only does the heat go down a little here in Florida,
but Football starts up, school starts up
and the holidays are around the corner!

I have not been able to craft as much as usual,
but here and there I have been able to dabble a bit.

Here are a few things I was able to create...

This tunnel card was a lot of fun to make.
My first attempt came out well.

This hippo beach day panel card was a lot of fun to create.
They look like they are having a blast!

I love this side step card I made with the
dog house and puppies.

I am also getting ready to get a Silhouette Cameo 3,
and I am totally excited to learn and create with it.
If you have any tips and tricks,
I would love it if you share with me.

I am glad to be back and can't wait to share how
beautiful the house has come out.
Stay tuned and I will share as soon as I can.
Thanks so much for coming by...Take care!!!

Under The Sea

Hello and Welcome!

I purchased a Mermaid paper pad from Michael's
and knew I had to make an album with it.

I made the closure a mermaid scale ribbon I purchased at Hobby Lobby and added little buttons I purchased there as well.
I also put silver metal corners on the front to protect it a bit.

Here's another look at the front.

Here is the album opened.
I made it so that the pages are on both sides,
the interlock with each other.

Here is when you open the flap of the first page.
I added die cuts of mermaids that I also made.

I also have pages inside the pages to pull out too.
So each page you can add 6 pictures or journaling.
There are 8 pages...so you can have 48 pictures in this album!
And the size of this album is 8 1/2 by 8 1/2.
So the pictures can be pretty big as well.

This is the next page from the other side.

And when you open that flap.

This is the back page.

This is showing the back of the album.
I put the silver metal corners on the back as well to protect it.

Here is one side of the album without the closure attached.

And the other side.
Isn't this paper just beautiful?
The paper just has a watercolor feel to it
and is very pretty.

Thanks so much for letting me share this album with you.
I had so much fun creating it.

Fairyland

Hello and Welcome!
This past week I created a couple of cards with
this cute Fairy stamp set.
It is just so adorable.

This first one I used Distress Oxide inks for the background
and used all of the fairies together.

This next one I made more of a night sky with
Distress Oxide inks and spritzed some water for stars in the sky.

I know this is a short blog post,
but these two cards were so fun to make and I had to share.

I hope you enjoyed these creations...

Unicorn Party

Hello and Welcome!!!

This week I decided to use this stamp set
I purchased with a whole bunch of partying Unicorns!
They are adorable.

This one I thought the two unicorns with balloons looked like they were flying, so I had to add paper that had clouds.
Colored the unicorns with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
and sprinkled some sequins.

Since I had the sequins out,
I decided to make a shaker card.
Instead of acetate though, I used vellum.
I just love this die with windows...
I know I have used it a bunch.
I die cut Happy Birthday out of gold paper,
so I also sprinkled gold watercolors all over the card.
I added a rainbow stripe background paper
to go with all of the colors of the unicorns,
as well as rainbow sequins.

These unicorns were so much fun to play with and I enjoyed creating these cards with them.
Thanks so much and Take Care!

Images Looking for a Home

Hello and Welcome!!!

Do you have images that you've colored while watching tv, and you haven't made them into cards yet?
Well that's what I did this weekend.
I have had no krafty mojo this weekend,
so I thought I should at least make cards with images I had laying around that need a home.

This one I didn't finish totally,
because I don't know what occasion to make this card yet.
But it's ready if needed!

This one I even used some watercolor paper scraps I had, thought they would go great together.

Used some paper scraps with this one as well.
Love going through all of my stashes and
using items I have been hoarding.

This little water-colored bear has been waiting
for a home for quite a while.
I painted this one and the next one a long time ago when I went through my watercolor phase.
Do you do that as well...go through various coloring phases?

Here's the other.
Just like the first, but switched the colors around.

This little doggie had been water-colored a while ago as well.

And last, but not least...
Miss You Pig Time! LOL!!!
Added some enamel hearts and we are good to go.

So I was wondering...and would love to hear your comments...
Do you color images in various mediums
and put them away for a rainy day?
Also, do you go through coloring medium phases?
Watercoloring, markers, pencils...and so on?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Take care!

Jungle Love

Hello and Welcome!!!

This weeks post has some Jungle Fever to it.
I purchased a couple of jungle-themed stamp sets
and a tropical bird one as well.
I guess to get me in the summery spirit.
I also purchased some leaf dies.
I put them all together and look at the cards I made!

This first one has the monkey just hanging out in the leaves
with his buddies to say hello

This one is a floating card.
I saw the instructions on YouTube
and thought I would give it a go.
It was rather fun to make.
Again, the monkey is just hanging out with the rest of his buddies.

These were fun to make and I hope you enjoyed seeing them.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Take care and see you soon!!!

Summer is Here

Hello and Welcome!!!
So the temperatures have hit 100 down here in Florida,
so I guess that means that Summer is Here!!!
To tell the truth, I actually love it.
When I lived up north,
we would stay in when the winter months would come around because it would be so cold and dreary.
Now, I just stay in during the summer months
because it can get so hot here.
The difference, to me, between the two...
The sun is out more here.
The sunshine just makes me smile.

Besides, staying in...means more crafting time!!!

I love these mermaids,
so I colored up a bunch and made a couple of cards.

This one actually has a background that I made a LONG time ago.  It's a brown paper bag that I crumpled up and painted with a shimmery turquoise acrylic paint.
Wow, has to be at least 5-10 years ago I made it.
May have to try that again real soon.

The background on the next one is distress oxide inks
and I splattered it with water.

I hope you enjoy your summer wherever you are.
Take care and thanks for stopping by!!!
